ClashMatrix
FreeClash test plan
Set the rule for each discipline pair, list the models you actually have, and get a test schedule at model level. Free with an account, and your matrices are here when you come back.
This writes the test plan. It does not run clash detection.
How this module works
- Name the project and the parties. The appointing party, the lead appointed party and each appointed party (use Add + for more). These go on the first sheet of the Excel export.
- Choose the disciplines. Switch the standard ones on or off, or add your own with a code and a name.
- Set the rules, discipline by discipline. Click a cell to set whether that pair is tested, its priority, the test type (hard, clearance with a tolerance, or duplicate) and the suitability states it runs at. Apply UK defaults gives a sensible start. A discipline is never tested against itself.
- List the models. Add each discipline's models as your CDE names them, one at a time with Add + or many at once by pasting a list. Every model pair follows its discipline rule. There is no limit on models.
- Combined sides, if you need them. Group several models into one side, then choose what it is tested against: another combined side or a single model not inside it (for example Combined 1 vs Combined 2, or Combined 1 vs AR-02). A combined side is only tested against what you pair it with.
- Check the test schedule. One row per test. Click a row to change that one pair without changing its discipline rule.
- Review the final matrix, model by model. Every model against every other, with its discipline. Click a cell to change that pair; two models of the same discipline start switched off and can be switched on here.
- Save and export. Save the matrix to your account, then download the Excel workbook (project sheet, rules, model matrix, schedule and model register) or the CSV and JSON files, and run the tests in your clash detection software.
